Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to website design, development, hosting, maintenance, Veldora Care, digital services, and related work supplied by Veldora Digital (“Veldora”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Contents
By accepting a quotation, paying a deposit, instructing Veldora to begin work, or purchasing a Veldora service, the client (“you” or “the Client”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations and Project Scope
Every project is governed by the written quotation or package selected by the Client.
The quotation will define the agreed:
- package or service
- project scope
- number of pages
- included features
- price
- included revision rounds
- estimated delivery timeframe
- any additional agreed services
Work not expressly included in the quotation or package is considered out of scope and may be quoted separately.
Examples include:
- additional pages
- substantial redesigns
- additional revision rounds
- new functionality
- booking systems
- e-commerce functionality
- payment integrations
- CRM integrations
- third-party APIs
- custom databases
- extensive copywriting
- significant image editing
- ongoing content management
Veldora will advise the Client before undertaking chargeable out-of-scope work.
2. Pricing
Current website package pricing is advertised as “from” pricing.
Final pricing may vary depending on the Client's specific requirements.
Any work outside the agreed project scope will require either:
- a revised quotation; or
- written approval of an additional charge.
No additional chargeable work will intentionally be undertaken without the Client's approval.
3. Deposit and Commencement of Work
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, website projects require:
50% deposit before work begins
50% final payment before launch or handover
A project will only be scheduled and commenced once:
- the required deposit has cleared; and
- Veldora has received sufficient information and content to begin the project.
The deposit secures development capacity and contributes toward project preparation, design, development time and other costs incurred in commencing the project.
4. Cancellation After a Deposit Has Been Paid
If the Client cancels a project after accepting the quotation or paying a deposit, Veldora may deduct or retain a reasonable amount relating to:
- work already completed
- time reasonably reserved for the project
- design or development already performed
- administration undertaken
- third-party costs already incurred
- other reasonable losses directly associated with the cancellation
Any balance that is lawfully due back to the Client will be refunded where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Client Delays and Required Content
The Client is responsible for supplying all information reasonably required to complete the project, including where applicable:
- logos
- branding
- business information
- service descriptions
- product information
- photographs
- contact details
- legal wording
- pricing
- access credentials
- approvals
- other requested content
Quoted or advertised delivery periods assume that this information is supplied promptly.
If the Client delays supplying content, approvals or feedback, Veldora may pause the project and adjust the expected completion date accordingly.
Veldora is not responsible for missed timelines caused by Client delays.
6. Estimated Delivery Times
Any stated turnaround or delivery time is an estimate unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.
Project timelines begin once:
- the required deposit has been received; and
- the required project information has been supplied.
Veldora will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines but is not responsible for delays caused by:
- delayed Client responses
- unavailable third-party services
- hosting outages
- domain-provider delays
- circumstances outside Veldora's reasonable control
- material changes to the agreed scope
7. Revisions
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation:
Starter Includes 1 revision round
Business Includes 2 revision rounds
Premium Includes 3 revision rounds
A revision round means one consolidated set of reasonable amendments submitted by the Client.
Multiple separate messages, repeated change requests, or new requirements submitted after a revision round may constitute an additional revision round.
Additional revisions may be quoted separately.
A revision is intended to refine agreed work. It does not include a complete redesign or material change to the original project brief.
8. Approval and Final Payment
Once the website is substantially complete, the Client will be given an opportunity to review the work.
The remaining project balance must be paid before:
- final production launch
- transfer or handover of the completed website
- release of production credentials where applicable
- final transfer of Client-specific deliverables
Veldora may withhold final launch or handover until all outstanding amounts have been paid.
9. Intellectual Property and Ownership
Once all amounts relating to the project have been paid in full, the Client receives the agreed rights to the final website content and design work created specifically for that Client.
Veldora retains ownership of:
- reusable development methods
- internal tools
- generic components
- frameworks
- libraries
- templates
- development techniques
- reusable code not uniquely created for the Client
Third-party software, fonts, plugins, services, libraries or assets remain subject to their respective licence terms.
The Client does not obtain ownership of third-party intellectual property merely because it is incorporated into the website.
10. Client-Supplied Content and Intellectual Property
The Client confirms that they have the necessary rights, licences or permission to provide and use any content supplied to Veldora.
This includes:
- logos
- photographs
- videos
- written content
- trademarks
- product images
- graphics
- other media
Veldora is entitled to rely on the Client's confirmation that supplied material may lawfully be used.
The Client remains responsible for claims arising from material they supplied without the required rights or permission.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Veldora may display completed work for promotional purposes, including:
- Veldora's website

Websites may rely on third-party providers such as:

- analytics services
- APIs

Promotional offers may extend these periods.
The Client is not automatically obligated to continue Veldora Care after the complimentary period unless they actively choose to subscribe.
Before paid Care begins, the applicable monthly price and terms should be clearly communicated.
16. Veldora Care Fees
Veldora Care is currently offered from R399 per month, unless otherwise quoted.
The actual fee may differ where a website requires substantially more hosting resources, maintenance, support or specialist functionality.
No monthly Care subscription includes unlimited development work.
17. Veldora Care Cancellation
Unless a separate fixed-term agreement is expressly entered into, Veldora Care is intended to operate on a month-to-month basis.
Clients may request cancellation in writing.
Where applicable, cancellation will be handled in accordance with South African consumer law and any amounts legitimately due for services already supplied remain payable.
Upon termination, Veldora will advise the Client of any reasonable actions required concerning hosting, migration or website transfer.
18. Hosting
Where Veldora manages hosting as part of Veldora Care, Veldora will take reasonable steps to maintain the hosting environment.
However, Veldora does not guarantee 100% uninterrupted availability.
Hosting may depend on third-party infrastructure outside Veldora's direct control.
Veldora is not responsible for interruptions caused solely by third-party infrastructure providers where reasonable steps have been taken to address the issue.
19. Suspension for Non-Payment
If an invoice remains overdue, Veldora may, after reasonable notice:
- pause ongoing development
- suspend non-essential support

Veldora will not intentionally delete a Client's website immediately because of a missed payment.
Reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the outstanding amount will ordinarily be provided.
20. Website Change Requests
Clients may request future website modifications through Veldora's available support channels.
Where the request:
- falls within Veldora Care, it may be completed under the Care service;
- exceeds the Care scope, Veldora may provide an additional quotation;

The version applicable to a project will ordinarily be the version supplied or made available when the project was accepted.
28. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Nothing contained in these Terms limits a consumer right that may not lawfully be limited or excluded.
